Korean low-cost airline Eastar Jet commenced operations with a maiden voyage from Gimpo International Airport to Jeju International Airport on January 7, 2009. On June 12, 2009. Eastar Jet started their new route from Cheongju to Jeju. And, by December 2009, the airline expanded with an international flight to Kuching, Malaysia.

Meanwhile, as of August 2016, Eastar Jet’s fleet is comprised of 3 Boeing 737-700 and 14 Boeing 737-800. They had formerly used Boeing 737-600 and Boeing 737-700. Eastar Jet chooses their entire fleet to be made up of Boeing 737 Next Generation aircraft for greater efficiency in maintenance and lower costs, they first having been delivered in November 2008.

Aircraft is not new but well maintained. Leg room is fine and the seats were really comfortable. Flight attendants were smiling and water was served right after take off. For such a short flight it was the best option for price. Never regretted that chose this airline. Will fly them again.”
